A day revisiting a favourite was considered to be a goodly idea. Espcially as I had made some lovely purchases from a little artisan shop and wanted more!

This is where I landed. Careful study of the above photos will reveal … one is square and the other is round! How I got myself around 9 countries by train last year remains a wonder.
This was a lovely place to visit, but once again I was assaulted by long distance runners! If only stroppy knees and bonky hip could advise them I am sure they would think twice. The arrogance of youth, my old mum was right when she said ‘youth is wasted on the young!’
When you are in your twenties and thirties you believe yourself to be practically indestructable. And being sixty eight beyond your worst nightmare! Then quite suddenly there you are. With a lifetimes memories and hips and knees to collaborate all of the ‘doings’. Never a day goes by that I don’t thank my lucky stars that I am here, and able to moan a bucketful!!

I did find a shop. It was full of sparkling things. Polished stones and gems. With more than a passing nod to my genetically inherited love of all things colourful and glittering, purchases were made. Along with a whole wonder of ‘gunna do’ crafty projects inspired by what I had seen.
The next part was as planned. A Sunday Lunch Monpazier style. This means a live band, craft beer and a quiche with salad!

Spot the errant Mrs Russell!
And then back to our posh shed.

You have to have a way of ‘knowing’ France and its’ occupants way of going on.
The way locals make politcal points is always imaginative. They have ‘upside downed’ loads of village signs to demonstrate their annoyance at imported lamb from New Zealand.
On the way to Cahors the speed camera was ‘wearing’ a number of different tyres all the way up the post to the camera! This is because the speed limits have been altered. Then to round it all off, ‘No Golf’ is scrawled across the local roads. Now there is a sentiment to get behind!
Wonderground says the weather is going to be much better next week. A swim would be a grand thing!
