Wow! What a gem of a place this is.

What a find our overnight accomodation is. Wishing we were staying on a day or two now! Car parking was a bit of a challenge, not used to car parking! More accustomed to hot footing it to the next railway station. Having to make a few adjustments in my head.

The suite we are in is a conversion from a building originating from the seventeenth century. Beautiful. Except it is up two flights of well worn spiral stairs. Dodgy knees have something to say about that! Mrs Russell is more interested in looking for mice than ascending or decending and as the treads are somewhat well worn access is a bit tricky. However the ‘Art Deco’ suite is simply wonderful and our host is a delight. Everything you could possibly need is provided, and a comfortable bed to boot.
We have had a very comfortable night.

This pup certainly fell on all four of her paws when she came to us. A lazier more contented terrier would be hard to find. She was a little disconcerted to see a larger version of ‘four paws’ in the window of the reception for the appartment though.

Off we all pop. Next stop Chalons-Sur-Saonne. If Mrs Russell can be bothered!
