‘What a differnce a day makes
Twenty four little hours
Brought the sun and the flowers
Where there used to be rain’
With acknowledgement to Dinah Washingon, Natalie Cole , Jamie Cullen and all of the other artisits who have recorded this beautful song.

From forget me nots to lilacs

The trees and the wood anemones

How lovely that our last day in Bled blessed us with blue skies and sunshine. We ambled around the lake and took our time to wonder at all of the wildlife and fauna around us. This was a very special day. It was a bit surreal because there were a lot of people around and we are used to being by ourselves along the paths. But it was heart warming and wonderful to feel the vibe of the visitors and the bustling ambience of the cafes and boats.
And so to the car…

There you go. We did it. Boot opened, petrol flap negotiated and that means
Jane and Pam 1 French Car 0
We celebrated our sucess with a bottle of chilled white. A lazy afternoon sat on the shores of Bled chatting the hours away. Then the reality of getting our contents back into our rucksacks in preparation for our next leg. We seem to be able to trash a hotel room in a way that would compete with many a teenager! Next stop Budapest. Stay tuned….
