Another sunny day in Berlin. Waiting once again at our local bus stop with ‘sort of’ plan for the day. We have really tried to embrace Berlin, but it does not want our affectionate gestures, just our money!

We drank their cheeky chilled whites
We travelled all around and navigated the trams, trains and bendy busses.
But in short Berlin over promised and under delivered. We even set off for a swim in a lake only to find you had to pay…then we tried the river only to discover we could be arrested and fined for swimming in undesignated places. We thought better of initiating another international incident. We have ended up wearing our swimming costumes as undies in the hope of finding a place to have a ‘dook’, all to no avail!
BUT fear not. Our hotel in Amsterdam has a large outdoor pool. We will be in it no matter what! Oh Lordy, travel buddy is on the weather app! Seems the only thing that could keep us out of water, which is a thunder storm, is forecast. Maybe I should have taken my place on the boat for that Channel Swim after all!!!
Berlin hasn’t whetted my literary appetite. No inspiration has come my way. Hopefully Amsterdam will refresh us both! Even if it is just for one night. Stand by….wonder if I can still roll a spliff….
